Introducing SearchBro, a Living Index of Indonesia's SEO Specialists
SearchBro is a curated, community-owned directory of the people behind Indonesia's organic growth. Why I built it and how to get listed.
Indonesia has a deep bench of search talent and no decent map of it. The people who actually move organic rankings here are scattered across agencies, in-house teams and freelance work, easy to miss unless you already know them by name. So I built the map. It's live now at searchbro.id.
SearchBro is a living index of the country's SEO specialists. The technical people, content leads, analysts and consultants shaping how more than 200 million Indonesians find things online. One place to see who does this work, where they are, and what they are good at.
Why a directory, and why now
The field is changing faster than its reputation. AI answer engines have rewritten what "search" even means, and the practitioners who understand that shift are now the scarce resource for any company trying to stay visible. They are also the hardest to find. A founder hiring for organic growth, an agency looking for a subcontractor, a journalist after an expert quote, all of them start from zero and end up asking around in private group chats.
Indonesia deserves a public answer to "who's good at this here". Not a ranked list, not a popularity contest. A reference the industry can point to.
What makes it different from every other directory
Most directories are either scraped databases or paid placements. SearchBro is neither, and three rules keep it that way.
- Curated. Every profile is reviewed before it enters the index. No scraped lists, no pay-to-play slots, just practitioners doing real work.
- Open. Anyone can nominate a specialist, yourself included. If the work holds up, you're in. The index belongs to the community it maps.
- Alive. Profiles link straight to LinkedIn and stay current, and the index grows as the industry does, from Jakarta to Denpasar and everywhere between.
Here's where it stands on launch day.
| At launch | Count |
|---|---|
| Specialists indexed | 56 |
| Cities represented | 17 |
| Specialties tracked | 24 |
Those numbers are the floor, not the ceiling. The index is built to grow.
How to get on it
Nominations are open at searchbro.id/submit, and self-nomination counts. Put your own work forward, or point me at someone whose work you rely on. Each submission gets a real review, so the bar stays where it should.
The plan from here is simple. Keep the index honest, keep it current, and let it become the first place anyone looks when they need someone in Indonesia who can actually do this work. If that someone is you, the door is open. And if you're on the hiring side and want help sooner than a directory search, my consultancy is here for that.
